The castle was built in the early 15th century. The construction of the castle dates back to the years 1405-1466. From the very beginning it belonged to the Ogońscy family, who eventually began to use the Radzikowski family name. It was rebuilt by Mikołaj Radzikowski in 1510. After the death of his son Jan, the property went to the Pilecki family, and then to the Roliczów Tarnowski family. During the Swedish wars the castle was destroyed and lost its significance. The castle presented the simplest type of knightly defensive residence. It was founded on a square plan with a side of 28.8 m. Brick and field stone were used for the construction. It consisted of a large, two-story residential house adjacent to the north-east wall and a perimeter wall forming a courtyard. Currently, it is the best preserved element of the building.
