The Golub Castle is a four-wing conventual Teutonic castle from the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries, erected on a hill towering over the city, now within the city limits of Golub-Dobrzyń; preserved in the Gothic-Renaissance style. It was probably built by the Chełm commander Konrad von Sack in the Gothic style in the years 1293-1306. In the years 1616-1623 it was rebuilt almost completely in the Renaissance style. Anna Wazówna, who was the starost of Golub, stayed there. It survived in a relatively good condition until the end of the 18th century. The destruction was carried out by World War II. The first stage of reconstruction was carried out in the years 1960-1967, about 3/4 of the castle was commissioned. The next stage was 1973-1976, when the external reconstruction of the High Castle was completed, giving it a Gothic-Renaissance character. In 1978, one of the first historical reconstructions in Poland took place in the castle. A knightly tournament was staged there. Currently it houses a museum, hotel and restaurant.
