Its unusual charm is determined by both picturesque landscapes and interesting towns with preserved monuments dating back to the Middle Ages. The Brodnickie Lake District is a beautiful and interesting land that certainly deserves the attention of tourists. The Brodnickie Lake District is above all beautiful gutter lakes surrounded by forests and hills. It is no wonder that these picturesque surroundings have been covered by a special form of protection as the Brodnicki Landscape Park. In its area there are numerous tourist routes, both for cycling and walking. There are also trails for water sports enthusiasts and for those who like to explore the area sitting on a horse's back. An important place in the landscape of the Brodnickie Lake District is taken by the lakes, the largest of which are Wielkie Partęczyny. This water reservoir is loved by anglers. However, the most famous water reservoir in this region is Bachotek. This lake is extremely picturesque, and thus - eagerly visited by tourists. With them in mind, numerous recreation centers and water equipment rentals were established on its shore. It is also worth mentioning Brodnica, which is the most important town of the Brodnickie Lake District. This town dates back to the 13th century, and its oldest monuments date from this period. These are the ruins of the former Teutonic castle and fragments of the old city walls.
